Electroetching power supply is a DC or pulse type industrial power supply specialized for electrochemical etching processing of metal surfaces. Its core function is to achieve non-contact precision corrosion on conductive materials (such as stainless steel, copper, aluminum, titanium, etc.) through controllable current, forming text, patterns or microstructures. It is widely used in the fields of label manufacturing, mold processing, PCB etching and medical device identification.
Working principle and key parameters
The electro etching power supply involves attaching an insulating template (cathode) to the workpiece (anode) and applying a low voltage direct current (usually 5-12V) to initiate anodic dissolution under the action of an electrolyte (such as NaNO3 solution). The current density is controlled at 0.5-5 A/dm 2, and the etching depth can reach 0.01-0.2mm with an accuracy of ± 2%. The power supply needs to have a ripple factor of<1% and a voltage/current stabilization accuracy of ≤± 0.1% to ensure sharp etching edges and no burrs. Supports constant voltage/constant current switching, pulse width modulation (PWM), and some high-end models can be programmed with multiple process curves to adapt to different materials and depth requirements.
Industry standards and quality basis
Although there is no independent national standard dedicated to electric etching power supplies, their output performance and processing results must comply with the following specifications:
Etching depth control: Refer to ISO 21920-2, allowable deviation ± 0.01mm
Dimensional accuracy: in accordance with GB/T 1800.1, linear tolerance ± 0.005mm
Surface roughness: Ra ≤ 0.8 μ m (ISO 4287)
Corrosion resistance verification: Salt spray test ≥ 720h (GB/T 10125)
Selection suggestions
Small scale customization: Priority should be given to integrated devices such as Blu ray Tongmao, which are low-cost and easy to operate
Must verify: whether the power supply has low ripple output, protection function, measured response ≤ 200ms, and cooling method matching load duration
